Guidelines to Authors

SIFT – A Journal of Business and Social Sciences welcomes original and high-quality submissions from the fields of business, management, and social sciences, including strategy, marketing, HRM, finance, consumer behaviour, entrepreneurship, innovation, sociology, psychology, communication, public ethics, and cross-cultural studies. Authors may submit original research papers, review articles, conceptual papers, analytical models, short communications, and case studies, provided the work is unpublished and not under review elsewhere. Manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Word, using Times New Roman 12-point font, double-spaced text, 1-inch margins, left alignment, and a 0.5-inch paragraph indent. Each submission should include a separate title page with the article title, full author names, institutional affiliations, email addresses, ORCID IDs (optional), and clear details of the corresponding author. The main document must begin with an abstract of 150–250 words summarizing the purpose, methodology, key findings, and implications, followed by 4–8 relevant keywords. The manuscript should be structured into an introduction, literature review, methodology, results or findings, discussion, and conclusion, and must include declarations regarding funding, conflicts of interest, ethical approval (if applicable), data availability, and author contributions. Tables and figures should be numbered sequentially, placed appropriately in the text, and submitted in high resolution with table titles above and figure captions below. References should be formatted in APA, Harvard, or Chicago Author-Date style with DOIs included wherever available. Authors must follow strict ethical standards, including obtaining informed consent and ethics committee approval for research involving human participants, ensuring data integrity, avoiding plagiarism or duplication, and accurately representing authorship contributions. All manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process, beginning with editorial screening and followed by review by subject experts, after which authors may be asked to submit revisions before a final decision is made. Before submitting, authors should ensure the manuscript aligns with the journal’s scope, is fully anonymized, adheres to the formatting guidelines, and is accompanied by a cover letter and any required supporting documents.
