Revolutionizing Indian Economy: The Interplay Of Taxation Reforms And Digital Technologies In Shaping Future Trade Dynamics
Dr. S. Saranya Dr. K. Chandrasekar
The rapid digitalization of the Indian economy has transformed traditional fiscal systems, redefining how taxation reforms influence trade performance and economic growth. This study adopts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to explore the interrelationship between taxation reforms, digital technologies, and future trade dynamics in India. The review synthesizes findings from peer-reviewed articles, policy papers, and empirical studies published between 2019 and 2024, focusing on how digital innovation enhances tax efficiency, transparency, and governance. Results reveal that the integration of automation, artificial intelligence, and data analytics in tax administration has significantly improved compliance, reduced revenue leakages, and fostered inclusive fiscal participation. Moreover, digital payment systems and e-governance initiatives have strengthened India’s trade facilitation and global competitiveness. However, challenges such as cybersecurity risks, infrastructural disparities, and low digital literacy persist, hindering complete implementation. The study emphasizes the need for policy coordination to align digital taxation reforms with long-term trade and economic goals. It concludes that technology-driven fiscal systems serve as a catalyst for sustainable development, enabling transparency, accountability, and economic resilience in India’s journey toward a digital future.
